You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information we hold about you at any time. This page explains exactly how to do that, what gets deleted, and the small amount we are legally required to keep.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to admin@tuckero.au
Use the email address linked to your Tuckero account. If you booked as a guest without an account, email us from any address and include the mobile number you booked with.
  2. Put “Delete my account” in the subject line
This makes sure it reaches the right place rather than sitting in general enquiries.
  3. Tell us whether you are a customer or a driver
Different records apply to each, so this helps us delete the right things.
  4. We confirm it is you
We will reply and ask you to confirm one detail from a recent delivery — usually the date or the delivery address. This stops someone else deleting your account.
  5. We delete your data within 30 days
We will email you when it is done, and tell you plainly if anything has been kept and why.

What is deleted

When your request is processed, the following are permanently removed:

Data What happens
Your account and sign-in Deleted. You will no longer be able to sign in.
Name, email address, phone number Deleted from your profile.
Saved addresses and delivery instructions Deleted.
Location data Deleted. Live location is already removed automatically as soon as a delivery ends.
Push notification tokens Deleted. You will stop receiving notifications immediately.
Delivery photographs Deleted, unless a dispute about that delivery is open or unresolved.
Drivers only: licence, insurance and vehicle documents Deleted, subject to the retention periods below.
Drivers only: bank account details Deleted once all outstanding payments have been made.

What we have to keep, and for how long

Australian law requires us to retain some records even after an account is deleted. These are kept securely, used only for the purpose below, and are not used to contact you.

Record Kept for Why
Transaction and payment records 5 years Required by Australian tax law. The Australian Taxation Office requires business records explaining transactions to be kept for five years.
Invoices and driver payment records 5 years Same tax record-keeping obligation.
Records relating to an open dispute, complaint or insurance claim Until resolved, then deleted at the next review So the matter can be dealt with fairly for everyone involved.
Anonymised delivery statistics Indefinitely These contain no name, address, phone number or anything that identifies you.

Nothing on that list is used for marketing, and none of it is shared except where the law requires it.

Deleting the app

Removing the Tuckero app from your phone stops it collecting anything further, but it does not delete the account or the data we already hold. To do that, send the email described above.
